CorDynamics Expands Facility to Offer More
Telemetry, Anesthetized and Isolated Heart Studies

Chicago, IL (September 2008) - In response to an increased client demand for comprehensive cardiovascular drug discovery and pharmaceutical safety testing, CorDynamics has expanded its facility. The Chicago-based contract research organization recently renovated and expanded laboratory space in its current building, located within the Illinois Medical District.

The cutting edge facility boasts a full-service laboratory including surgical rooms for discovery and anesthetized studies, multiple isolated heart stations and a dedicated telemetry suite for up to 32 subjects.

"We offer the leading comprehensive cardiovascular contract research in the industry," said Dr. Michael R. Gralinski, CorDynamics CEO. "With this new facility, we can continue to provide each client with a customized scientific study and an unbeatable customer service experience. The expansion has also enabled us to enhance the telemetry studies we've been conducting over the past few years."

CorDynamics is using telemetry to produce everything from GLP comprehensive interrogations of test article to screening lead candidates early in the development process, with both small and large animal paradigms. The company also continues to deliver unparalleled expertise with the isolated heart and anesthetized models to help clients study the various cardiovascular effects of drug compounds.

The laboratory design allows the CorDynamics team to be flexible in scheduling, yet aggressive in the execution of client studies. The use of multiple Notocord, EMKA and Data Sciences International computerized data collection systems assures the validity and integrity of data.

"It's an exciting time for us," said Dr. Gralinski. "Whether it's drug discovery, lead optimization screening or regulatory studies, we can fulfill many of the cardiovascular testing needs a client may have. Every client has budget and time constraints surrounding an important pharmaceutical question. With our full menu of models and our state-of-the-art facility, we can accurately and affordably customize an approach for each client."
