CorDynamics Garners Travel Award
to Safety Pharmacology Society Meeting in September

Chicago, IL (August 2009) - Melissa Fisher, CorDynamics Research Technician, won a Travel Award to the 2009 Safety Pharmacology Society meeting to be held September 16-18 in Strasbourg, France.

Among many high-quality submissions, Fisher's abstract on the establishment of a hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction model in the non-human primate, stood out from the competition.

"The goal was to establish a model of pulmonary artery hypertension in non-human primates," said Fisher. "Although there are established models in the dog and rat, to our knowledge, this is the first validation of this method in higher species."

Fisher will present a poster on the topic at the meeting.

The CorDynamics team will also be on hand at booth #401 to speak with colleagues and share information on the company's menu of services designed to rapidly and inexpensively identify potential for cardiovascular issues early in the drug development process.
